Standard grade asphalt cement is the most basic, unmodified form of liquid asphalt, sourced direct from the refinery, heated, and stored for delivery to our customers in the Northeast.
Standard grade asphalt cement is a refined product used in a variety of applications from simple paving mixes to a myriad of finished products. In its raw form, it is used as the binding agent to produce plant mixes with local aggregates for highway, airport, commercial and residential pavements.
When emulsified, it provides the mixing and handling characteristics required to produce cold mixes, seal coats and other pavement preservation products.
Standard grade asphalt cements are tested and certified to meet federal, state and local specifications. They are classified using a performance-grading (PG) system to determine the temperature range these materials are expected to perform within.
We carefully store them at prescribed temperatures using insulated tanks at our various terminal locations. They are delivered to our customers via insulated transport vehicles on time, meeting our customer specifications and schedules.
